Freedom Camping:
NOT RECOMMENDED BY HWCAMPERVANS
- Thank you for abiding by Hawaii State laws by planning ahead and staying in a campground. The last thing we want is to give the state any reason or opportunity to shut down the campervan experience on Oahu. We thank you for choosing an option between 1-5 listed above.
- Sometimes guests come to visit Oahu to see family/friends. Hwcampervans are small and stealth looking which help guests park in front of their family/friends house and not draw as much attention from the neighbors or other locals. Please verify that the parking spot is allowed and be courteous to those who live nearby.
- Freedom camping where guests pull into a neighborhood, park on the side of the highway, or park at a beach is NOT RECOMMENDED. Reminder guests are responsible for any and all TICKETS or DAMAGE associated with the campervan during the rental period. If guests are freedom camping in these areas, a police officer WILL approach the vehicle and GIVE a fine.
